its an interesting taken on BF2. It does get the blood pumping, well for 10 seconds until I die then I have 10 mins driving across the map to calm down to repeat the process

I love the premise but some things they make you do (like the spawn timers on vehicles, massive maps with little to do for long periods of the time) take it so far in the direction of realistic that at times it ceases to feel like a game at all, and the enjoyment bleeds out of it. Or you spend the entire round on some far flung corner of a map and see two bad guys the whole time. Realistic yes but fun as a game, no.

The smaller maps can be so intense and fun that I don't know what to do with myself. I used to think PR was the perfect game i'd waited for all my life. Then the map changes to something ridiculous and the illusion is shattered, and I end up looking at my watch.

I personally like the infantry maps more then the vehicle maps. It's closer to instant action. Vehicles take too long to get anywhere and do anything. The all infantry city maps are much more intense.

Eh. I spent an entire round rolling around with a commander, building the crap he wanted (which wasn't much at all). I don't mind, as long as my roll is filling a need. It's why I don't mind being the lone guy protecting a back flag all round, even if I only see 1-2 people. Imagine if that person capped a flag and the enemy team spawned there...

I don't need to be excited to have a good time.
