    MP5

In boxing, the phrase "pound for pound" is often used to ascertain which boxer is the best boxer regardless of weight class. For the money, the MP5 may be the best gun out there.

Meh, I've seen it in use in 1.6 and I think it was ALOT better in that version. But in CSS...I'm thinking the AK. Once you learn how to spray with it you can literally do ANYTHING with that gun. Close quarters, run and gun, pick, etc. It does everything. Not to mention the one shot HS's.

That is a of opinion. The MP5 is easier to use from the start and you can snipe with it and is a better rushing gun.

The AK is good but it does cost more and does require more skill to use it in every situation or at the least time to learn how to use it, so I'd have to agree with OP in that regards.

Yeah, that's true. But I assume everyone can control the AK

But not everyone can control the AK. In fact it has been the hardest gun for me to learn next to the scout (I still can't scout worth sh^&). My point was that for the money it is simply the best. Delivers more rounds on target with less barrell kick. Cheaper too.

Yeah, I've practiced the recoil for every gun I use (AK, M4, MP5, the TMP or mac10...that's about it haha) and the AK was the hardest and the last one I got down. Just make your own server on your computer and start spraying at walls until you think you're getting the hang of it and can get a semi close spread. Then go on a Dust2 deathmatch server and do nothing but spray, no matter what distance they're at you have to spray them down. It's good practice.

I also have days where I'll go in a deathmatch server and do nothing but aim for the head, even if it means stopping and making sure my crosshair is on their head before I shoot. That helps alot also with my picking and accuracy.

I like setting my cross hair super small. That helps me with my aiming, spraying, everything really. Not that big of a target filling up the screen and it a lot more accurate in terms of appearing where you are aiming and where you are hitting.

Mud, not to be a total dick, but I disagree with your advice.

You never want to spray, EVER - because you NEVER want to reload.

This is not CAL-only advice, but common sense in TTP as well. Reloading takes a second or so, but it's downfall is being loud. It gives off position and overall ruins the momentum of a rush.

Hell, if you need to spray at long-range, that's no good. I will tell you exactly what Bunni told me when I started playing, and that is "The only time you should ever spray is when you know they are wounded and only need a few body shots, OR if you are boxing."

I have been abiding by that advice ever since and it has proved much more efficient than spraying.

Like you said, the AK is a one-shot headshot, so why spray?

ALWAYS stop when you shoot long-range. Stop-Shoot-Strafe-Stop-Shoot-Strafe, etc. running and shooting long range is a matter of luck in my opinion.

Finally, Vic, if you suck balls at the Mp5, try the TMP. My teammate Timmy can't use the mp5 for his life, but he destroys on the TMP. He can and will hold long solo with nothing but a nade and that little gun.

And yes, Mud, the mp5 is way better in 1.6

The doing nothing but spraying advice is to get your sprays down, it's an EXERCISE, that's why I do it on a deathmatch server. I'm pretty sure Vic knows not to do it when actually trying to play. But in the situations where you need to spray (i.e. multiple targets rushing at once, wounded, etc) then it's good to know HOW to spray. If you don't practice it then you're shit out of luck when stuck in a situation where trying to pick would get you killed.

And uh, you pretty much said what I just said. That exercise is SUPPOSED to teach you to stop and pick, and in time you'll get better and faster at it...Rudy you really have NO IDEA what I'm talking about in that post. What I said above are EXERCISES to help you with different aspects of the game, not advice to live by while actually playing.
