Interesting Thanksgiving

First of all, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Second, I just thought I'd share some news I got on Thursday. Apparently my brother and his girlfriend are expecting, so it looks like I'm going to be an uncle.

On top of that, unless she has problems or the baby arrives late, it'll be born right around my birthday.

Looks like I'll be helping them move over the next couple months and get everything ready for the baby too. I'm sure it'll be a lot of work, but should be worth it in the end.

Congratulations man, hope everything turns out well for you and your family! My sister who lived with me had a boy about 8 months ago and I love him to death, when I get on my laptop I'll post a picture of him.

Thanks. That's why it should be nice being an uncle instead of a parent. Spoil the kid and not deal with the messes.

Well that was short lived sadly. I found out today that my brother and his girlfriend lost the baby.

Happens more often than you'd think. A lot of common complications and auto-immunity issues that can cause this, especially this early in pregnancy. Don't be sad, I am sure they'll keep trying for more babies. (hubba hubba)
