It depends if there's a gas can lying around. Failing that, you can always bring up an oxygen tank from the first floor. The only problem is that the tank often spawns as soon as you're out of the elevator, so you don't often get time to check for a can.

On DeC2 once the tank spawn right at the bottom of the first road. I was playing on versus and my team though it'd be a good idea to stand next to the cop car. All 3 get incapped instantly. For the next 5 minutes I am running around in circles trying to shoot the tank, avoid the car and avoid all the SIs. I kill a smoker, a jockey, a charger. Then a spitter, boomer and hunter. Then another hunter, another charger, another jockey. Finally the tank dies. I run over start helping the first up, get smoker pulled right next to all 3 survivors. Nobody bothered to shoot it with pistols....

Having a Tank chase me through DeC 3 in Last Man on Earth just outside the saferoom.

Finale. Killed first tank. Then horde. Then TWO tanks came. Killed both. Then another two tanks came after rescue vehicle. It was crazy for me, as I never dealt with two tanks except survival

It is actually supposed to be fixed now where the tank never spawns at that location anymore (near the safe room). I guess enough people complained about it that Valve removed that spawn point.

Might still be in the PC version but AFAIK the Xbox servers are not supposed to spawn a tank there anymore.

Has it? Damn!

I've still seen tanks spawn quite far back on that level, or at least take their time to get round the corner, so I'm guessing if you were really quick and brought up an oxygen tank from downstairs it'd still be possible? I'll need to try it next time I'm online.

You might be able to get away with it against a dumb tank. Obviously there are several places where you could do the same thing but I don't know if running over there is always a great idea.

You have the predictable smoker to deal with, a possible witch, and whatever else is set-up around that corner.

I have a tested strategy for fighting tanks there. Most of the good teams fight the tank there the same way that I like to. I'm pretty sure you know what I'm talking about.

I don't mean to reveal team tactics here but, do you mean the room on the right with the coils and propane? That's the only thing I can think of
