Alpha Centauri now that is a game I nearly forgot lol. It was more like Civ II and I didn't like it as much as Civ II though only had a limited game play time because I'd play it at my friends and not my house back when I was in Middle School.

Yeah, we definitely need to get some team games going. Can we get the interest? Maybe a fast speed and advanced start options to keep interest?

I personally would play a slow speed large map from the ancient times if there is enough interest for that. Terra? Team Battleground?

today Loki, Rooster and I started a game and Civil Join part way through and when I had to go they saved it up and we can continue it at a later date.

As for having the time/interest in a longer game, Civil and I played a game last night for 6 hours hah.

Played 12 hours today... My brain hurts....

Go straight to 4, so you can play with all of us. I never played any before 4, so I can't speak for similarities and differences.

I got it from www.direct2drive.com. They were about $10 cheaper than Steam for the base game and Beyond the Sword expansion that we play.
