Do we have any other pilots in TTP
I started taking lessons on the Cessna a couple months ago. These lessons are a pay as you go plan. They charge 180 dollars an hour, and so far I have like 6 hours flying. I'm still on my 3rd lesson which has one item left on it for me to complete,...landing. For those of you unfamiliar to flying lessons, the first 10 are with an instructor, and the remainder are solo. Sounds kinda scary flying alone. What's even scarier is that the instructor and I were flying at 3500 feet a couple weekends ago and I was looking straight ahead out the window and then a huge object came from out of nowhere and flew right past us. I think it scared my instructor more. I started thinking about what kind of damage a bird strike would do, I know on the old 130's I used to work on, they would literally tear through the wing and lay to rest inside of the plane. Freaky. Anybody ever hear of a bird strike on a Cessna.

Re: Do we have any other pilots in TTP
I don't fly myself, but have a few friends that do. I'm a bit nervous with heights, and not to keen on air travel, but I did manage to go up with the a few times. Given that I don't even really like large commercial flights, only do it when it's a must, the smaller 6 seat Cessna was a little unnerving to say the least.
I was flying down a dark country road one night on a KZ1300 doing about 110, and got hit in the forhead what I think was a large hornet perhaps, in any case it blacked both my eyes, and almost gave me whiplash.
Does that count, low altitude flight? LMAO
