AVP Classic $5 on steam... Time to eat some marine brainz

Lol I thought - I'll ease myself in by starting with the marines, forgot how freaking weak they are even on easy. Properly fun fear stuff - I can play alien and predator without breaking a sweat its those damn marines....

Playing the Aliens has some jump-factor too, when you're speedin along over walls and ceilings and suddenly a synthetic catches sight of you and starts blasting away. Those fuckers don't have an aura and I have a tendancy to kill every light I see, so the androids are damn-near invisible in the dark. Or you run infront of a sentry gun you somehow didn't hear.

I'm dissapointed that they only have AVP and not both AVP and AVP2 (a far superior game to the first) on steam. AVP2 was where it was at.

Marines are all about bad ass shoot you in the face weapons that hurt a ton!
Minigun will 4-5 shot a predator
Smartgun will auto-track thus almost always hit
Skeeter launcher = bullshit
and so on...
The only weapons that hold a light to the marines is the Disk which is disabled in most multiplayer because of the level of bullshit, and the spear gun. But both have very low rates of fire.

Those were AVP2 weapons werent they? I don't remember having the disk in AVP, but then it was so long ago I might be mis-remembering.

hahah AVP2 was my heyday with multiplayer FPS. I played Aliens always, and 90% of that as a Runner. Nothing pisses a Pred off more than to dodge his Disk. I knew some marine players that could too.. you just had to side-step at the right time. With a Runner it was easier cuz you were so fast, even if you weren't as strong.
