Well I finally got the time to hook it up. The GTX 480 is HUGE. I had to remove the harddrive holder from the case because it was about 2mm to big and hit up against the GTX. So now I have my HD's sitting on my desk. Another thing about this 480 is that it takes 1 8pin pci and 1 6pin for the power. Depending on what MB you have some dont supply this but if you buy at 480 the give you addaptors. You must put both in cause it sucks up power. As far as the performace its crazy. BFC2 I played right away and the GPU was at a steady 51 degrees. I'm not a big computer guy so I dont know all the tech terms. The EVGA model that I got has a built in program that allows you to make adjustments such as fan speed, GPU temp, Speed....all sorts of stuff. Guess its interesting to me since I have to read up on most of it and its 5am EST. (Unemployed). lol. I'd tell anyone to get this card, its just kick ass over my 8800GT. Don't forget to update your drivers.
As for the two 24" monitors, they are huge. They are Samsung P2450's. Very big and a great picture. I had two 20" and they dont even come close to being as kool. (one of my 20"'s blew out).
Just wanted to share some info on this new vid card. If anyone has any questions about it drop me a PM or better yet post. All I can say is it was worth the money.
Thanks,
