    Re: JB's Books

Yeah Kindle is tiny, they are super light weight not back lit and long lasting batteries. It is similar to reading text in a newspaper or a black n white print book. I love it. Amazon has a load of books to choose from plus I can read it on nearly anything, Blackberry, Andriod, iPhone, Mac, PC yadda yadda on top of reading it on the kindle.

They have a few new versions and to be honest I can only really speak for what I own, but they vary in price and have "special offers" deals where you get em cheaper if you don't mind a bit of advertising. Not sure what sort of adverts they show because at the time I got mine it wasn't available.

Their 3G means any where your cell phone has coverage for data you're going to be able to DL new books. But personally I went with the WiFi only version because I have it at the house, at work, bookstores, coffee shops, school, library...you get the point. So for an extra $30-50 its really imo no worth while because generally I've got a book always in reserve for reading if I finish something while I'm out of the house. I also have magazine and newspaper subscriptions that are instantly delievered in the morning.

A big bonus along with light and easy to manage size of the kindle is that is has cheaper books. I have 50+ books on my kindle say I saved an avg of $10/book. I pay 10 for a book usually $20-30, so I've saved $500.

Definately suggest a Kindle, but remember it is not an ipad. its purpose is to read books not do email or facebook.

I had a rather great time with a new series I've picked up by an author called Larry Correia and it's the Monster Hunter series you can really get into the characters and the stories flow quite well, humor isn't absent either which is a plus
