LOL I've had my Starbucks Barista for 8+ years. Works like the day I bought it.
I would try to descale it first as Tech Support for Espresso machines will tell you that first. Next is water lock.

definitely look into your water quality if you're using tap water (even if it's filtered)
those things are pulling 15bar of water/steam pressure?
You're going to want to make sure your water is free of calcium, chlorine and other heavy minerals.
Or you're going to want to buy some distilled water ($1/gal at most places)
15bar is almost 220psi of pressure... you're going to need to keep the pressure vessel as clean as possible. One little bit of corrosion will kill it.
