So, I thought for a little while about where to put this, and eventually decided that here was the place that made most sense - it's not really something worthy of a thread on its own, but it's something that I'd like to make known publicly, partially because I feel that you guys have a right to know, and partially because I know how whispers and misinformation can spread when things aren't clear.

As of the very near future, I'll be resigning from my position here. There's a few reasons for that, but the overriding one is that I no longer play L4D more than once or twice every six months. When I took the reins in January, it was only ever supposed to be for a week.

That was nine months ago.

There were various reasons I stayed on, but most of them were because there just wasn't a good time for me to walk away. That's no longer the case, and I feel comfortable stepping away knowing that Bigdog is a safe pair of hands to keep the site moving forwards (not that this wasn't the case with 711, of course!) The choice to leave has been entirely my own, and Bigdog has been thoroughly supportive of my decision right the way through.

Anyway, I won't drag this out. There are those of you who won't be sorry to see me go, and there might even be a few of you who are. Either way, I've enjoyed my time here, and I'd like to thank all of you for not making my life too difficult.

Darn. Three staff resignations in only a month. We'll miss you, you were a good admin, and I didn't know you weren't planning on keeping the position. But I hope this place doesn't fall back into chaos and spam again. Then again, it's not like it's active enough for there to be much of the sort.

target and I discussed this right when 711 was stepping out. though I wasn't here during his rise to power, even in short time I have been, he's a major player here. The community loses an asset.
