See you in a year
As some of you know I am a soldier in the Army. I will be leaving this week for another tour and putting my computer in storage tomorrow. It has been good sharing time with you folks over the past year that I have been a consistently active player here at TTP. While I was stationed at Brook Army Medical Center I worked nights. It was obvious early that the job was not for me, going to work every night and staying positive and cheerful, cracking jokes with patients with a short window to appreciate such things took a lot out of me.
I started at a place with no friends, I came home, I slept, I went back to work. I kept that routine up for the first couple months I was there, first time for me being in a place with out any real friends. Doing a job I was compelled to do well, but hated, which did not lend me to being sociable when not there.
When I played 1.6 I would go to lans and compete, I was on a team or two. Friends were not part of that equation, it was a game I liked playing, friends were a separate thing. On my days off I would wake up in the evening, around 8, run an errand or two, go get a bite. Then I would log on TTP during prime time and play. I found some friends, some of those friends were in a clan. All those friends were here.
Thank you.
Now I am back to being where I belong, at a job I enjoy and excel at. Amazing how easy it is to be sociable when those things are part of your day. A coworker and I went and had dinner together tonight, my food got room temperature because we were busy picking apart each others political opinions (He's of the moronic liberal persuasion, I also dislike conservatives which gives me an edge in any political discussion since both are open to sarcastic biting remarks) I am playing while on the phone more often of late, I go afk during games at random because someone knocked on my door, I log off half way through prime time because I'm going out. Having friends does not suck (especially the shorter ones who's hair tends to be a little longer and have fat in cool places) You crazy kids will not be replaced though. I always have played video games, now when I do I get to do so with friends every time I play.
See you in a year,

P.S. Some of you who have known I will be off the servers (but still logging onto the forums) have asked for an address to send me care packages and the like, like I am going to pass that shit up. Unfortunately I have yet to find out what my deployed address will be, and I also would not put that in a public forum when I do get it. If you would like it though any member of the killers will have access to it, send one of them, or me if you do not mind waiting till I can log on again a PM, and if you have a good affiliation with the community I will give them permission to pass it along to you. With a list of shit I like, and the stuff the Army would be mad if they found. I could not do a post with out doing so...........
Even after a year you will not look any better Rage, so give it up and find someone else. This machine kills fascists
