Dove Season in Texas!
That's right folks. Just this past weekend was the opening day of Dove Season for North and Central Zones in Texas. South zone will open on September 27th. Most everyone knows I am an outdoors person. I work at a Baseball Facility during the week and then Fish, Hunt, and play golf on weekends. We'll this past weekend I went with a buddy to our lease for opening day. Although we didn't limit out like we planned, there were plenty of birds moving. We shot most of the birds that flew within range but were not successful completing a full limit. The other hunters in the areas on all sides were laying into them, either that or were shooting at whatever flew. We are supposed to have one of the best dove seasons in many years due to a wet and mild winter and spring. I sure hope the rest of those birds start flying south to my shotgun where I can enjoy them stuffed with jalapeno and cream cheese wrapped in bacon! Happy Hunting Season 2012!
Next is early Teal season which will start mid September. Then, Duck season will open soon after. Next will be DEER SEASON!!!!!!!!!! WOOT. Bambi's Daddy is going on my Wall and the rest of him is going in my BELLY!
Happy Hunting.

Re: Dove Season in Texas!
That is one thing I have never really done is go hunting. Mainly because I have no experience or interest in cleaning the kill. Glad you guys enjoy it, though! It is very important to keeping a stable ecosystem.
