There's an arrow you can click on the big menu bar on the left that will 'minimize' it (at the very top).

Here's some from a solo mission I did, Lvl 3, Blockade, Guristas. Just an amazing amount of enemy ships, all firing Scourge (Kinetic) and Flameburst (Thermal) missiles.

and when it's over...

Made about 19 M Isk from Bounties, rewards, and salvage. One hour and 20 minutes from start to salvage completion.
