Demon's new rig experience and other drama!
Well some time in February I think it was I started looking for a new rig. My dell is out dated and obsolete. Newegg has always seemed like a good place to shop so I pieced together a decent machine slightly over budget. Then, I spotted a machine that was all the stuff I needed already built, with all the extra over time I've been working I thought it would be good not to have to build it. So I did some research, it had a weak PSU, but I figured I could always fall back on the warranty to fix the issue. here's the rig...
Newegg.com - CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme 1322 (GX1322) Desktop PC Intel Core i7 2600K(3.40GHz) 8GB DDR3 1TB HDD Capacity AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit
Anyway, when I got the rig, it worked great for a week then it started turning on and off. i unplugged it, called them, they sent me a new PSU, I installed, good as new.... For a week, then the same issue, I called asked if I could upgrade they said no, it's a package deal. So I RMA'd it, sent it in, it took 3 weeks to get there and 3 to get back. I eventually had to do this 4 times. So now I have requested a refund, and I am having to go through newegg, so we will see how that goes. On a side note, they do not sell it any more, I wonder why?
So if you wonder where I have been since BC2 or even BF2, I've been dealing with that. Also my other drama is I'm going through my second divorce during all this with my third child involved. Life is hell for me at the moment. I wish things where as simple as the day I join this community, I had no kids, a great job, and a dependable PC. But life must move on, long after the thrill of living is gone.
I will be knifing all of you soon, I hope, I just wanted all of you to know that my absence isn't voluntary.

damn, dude thats a pretty sweet rig. i had the same problem when i got my XPS, it would shut off randomly. i replaced the power supply as well, which didnt work either and because it was a brand new computer out of the box, Dell sent me another one. except... it did the same thing. the way i fixed it was by resetting the motherboard by moving a connection between two pins. I dunno why it worked, but it did.
Sucks to hear about the other stuff :/, i hope everything works out for you, demon.

Sorry about the love-life man, that's rough.
Luckily you can get a PC fixed more easily! Lots of TPGers just built new rigs so there is a lot of current-technology expertise in the HW forums.
Hope things work out and we'll see you online soon.
