New job

Found something to pull in some cash while I wait on the Navy reveiw board. Working for UPS at a distribution center. Pay is good, over time kicks in fast, and I like that I'm not sitting around with little to do.

Having said that, always put a shit load of packing peanuts/airbags/something to save you item in all you boxes.

They get the shit kicked out of them.

Congrats on the job and after seeing some of those delivery videos out there... I totally believe in packing the crap out of stuff.

Yea i totally know the feeling of OT, i just got paid for 103.50 hrs for one week, Was absolutely great.

See the thing is its seasonal. So they only have us signed up for 3.5 hours. However, not once have I not worked less then 6.5. In the way the contracts are set up, OT kicks in 5 hours.

The good ol UPS man! Darn good pay and you know the jobs gonna be there in December! I can't hit OT at school.... Kill sometimes.

I worked UPS in the winter 2 years in college...great money for the job.

What shift did you get, and what do you do? Load, unload, sort?

They only load trucks in the wee hours of the morning.

I'm breaking for my line, stocking for 3 floor trucks, pulling miss-sorts, and loading the trucks.
