Why do we tolerate scum?

I usually wouldn't point out something like this, but as with most people, until it hits close to home, one over looks it. I got a call last night after logging off ATC, a friend of mine was in Albany Med being treated for a lacerated throat. Here's a link to the story.

So i ask, why do we deal with these wayward drifter asshole who have never shown an ounce of responsibility, never contributed to society, never cared who they hurt in the process of going nowhere? It kills me knowing that if this kid gets a trial in Albany, hes likely to get a very liberal judge and do 5 years max. Its just the way thing are done here.

The kicker is the last line in the story. "I was afraid he was going to hurt me." LO-fucking-L If only you guys knew Adam, one of the nicest people i know.... when he decided to become a cop, i used to bust his balls that he wasn't nearly a big enough dickhead to do the job. He joined the force with a heartfelt desire to simply do good for our community. No power trip, no Ego, just a strong will to help.

Good news today though, by a stroke of luck, and timing that only takes place in the movies, he received great medical help very quickly, went to a top notch hospital and is in good condition. He may be home tomorrow. I truly hope this kid gets it pounded into his head just how close he came to killing a very good man, and ruining the lives of his family and friends.

We ought to do it the old fashioned way. Fuckers like this were taken care of without wasting tons of tax payers dollars to pay for a worthless and time consuming defense, while at the same time taking people away from their jobs to sit and waste time on a jury, further hurting our country because when these people aren't working, they aren't producing things, and that means our economy isn't being helped. It would be so much simpler if people like this were taken care of the cheap way: 20 cent bullet.

Or better yet, why some people go bonkers and lose their minds and do even worse shit cause their so fed up with the bullshit in this country.

I know that makes me sound really bad. But I bet there's some people out there who understand why I feel that way, when you spend so long in the military defending an ideal of what this country is, and then, with every year you spend defending it, you see these fucktards in the government doing some bullshit that totally and completely undermines the whole reason you joined the military in the first place.

I don't know, I've been having a really bad day today, between things that have been happening on the server and things offline, maybe I'm just a little more aggravated than normal. Then again, maybe I'm not.

i really wish i could run for office, but i don't have the connections or the capital to do so. here is my platform:

1.sex offenders- castrate them first offense. only the serious offenders. not the 19 yr old who slept with a 16 yr old. i'm talking about the 40 yr old who sleeps with the 13 yr old. second offense is the death penalty. i'm a father of an 11 yr old girl and i say kill the bastards.

2. thieves- let's do like to middle east. you steal, they chop off a hand. pretty simple.

3. murderers- eye for an eye. none of this waiting in prison 10 yrs with appeals and all that shit.

however, i just saw on cnn the other day a story about an accused mob hitman who served 20 yrs for a crime he didn't commit by the fbi. i hope that dna and other technologies will allow us to only put the truly "guilty" away with stiff penalties. that's where the problem lies. our justice system is so corrupt i really don't believe we can have "true justice" until it is fixed.

on a side note, anybody read about O.J.'s latest escapade? robbing a memorabillia dealer to get his stuff back?
