When a team gets stacked.......

it makes it hard to even want to play. I'm not CAL material, I'm not leet, i don't use a damage hack, which i could swear was being used by at least one player..... When an average player like myself goes up against this, its hard to keep cool. But, what doesn't cause me to rip my computer to shreds in frustration only makes me stronger, right?

No one likes being on the "weaker" team. But sometimes the most effective strategy for learning how to play this game is to have better players show you. I could take each person aside, as many others could do, instruct you on how to move in certain situations to give yourself the best chance for survival. I could do that.

But no matter how well you were taught, learning by getting beat seems to normally get the best results. Why? Because it stings. It sucks. It leaves a lasting impression so that, by God, "That won't happen again".

Next time, you won't just walk out in the open like that knowing a guy like Pepper is in the jet, and looking for moving targets. Next time, you won't drive that tank on the road because good heli pilots look there first. Next time, you won't try and shoot that support rifle from the shoulder at a moving target because you can't hit anything.

I know, it sounds stupid, but those are the noob mistakes that good players (no matter the rank) don't make as often. And as a result, the make better choices that keep them alive longer, but kill you.

You think they're better. They're not. The only difference is they've learned how to reduce the little mistakes that seperate them... from everyone else. Some people naturally have "It". Some have to learn "it".

Yeah that was a rough few rounds there...

On Karkand it was all I could do to hide behind a wall and stay alive so y'all could spawn and get killed at the Suburb!

I like a good fight, but that one was a slaughter.

yeah I was there spec. We lost at least 6 in a row while I was there.

The problem is when we first started losing we had about 8 officers. When it got bad it dropped down to 3 while the other team had 13 with at least 4 generals. At soon as things went south all of ours left. This makes it hard to come back, but after a losing streak we started rebuilding and winning.

It takes a little time to get out of the losing streak, but it makes finally winning that much better.

Your post, as usual was great Ranger. This last statement is the only thing that i disagree with. I like to think that over the last year I've been learning from the best. I know not to run out into the open in the middle of a fire fight, i know not to drive the main road, i know not to drive a tank when your in the Helo! But that being said, none of those things have become "habit". That's the difference. These guys that are full birds and generals have something that your average first SGT, and Gunnery SGT don't have, that's experience. Some have almost 2000 hours of play. And that inherently makes them "better". How do you think that stacks up against guys with 400 hrs on average? No matter how "together" the losing time is, theres no way they can pull it out. Now, with all that being said, i was on some GREAT squads. We communicated, switched up kits like no tomorrow, and decimated any chopper that tried to leave the ground on one round of Kubra. So there is a positive to be gained here... more experience. I really am glad that I'm a regular here, and when I'm fighting a better team, i know its a legit team, and tomorrow, I'll squad with half of those guys and do some pwn'age of my own. If this were to happen on another server, with a group of unknowns, i wouldn't have stuck around for 10 plus rounds. And i hope, if any of the guys on the stacked team read this, they don't take in as a slap or a jab. Its just an observation, and rather than cry about it, I'm just dealing with it and pulling out the positives of a rather harsh ass whooping! So, in closing, Kudos to the Winning team, and BIG Kudos to the guys that stuck it out all evening and kept their cool!

You are better Scott. All you have to do is go to another server to find out. You'll kill everything that moves, defend against superior forces and probably be called a hack for it. You are getting better.

The problem is, so is everyeone else. Three star generals don't stop refining their technique once they reach that rank. Those players consistantly learn new ways to kill you, because you are forcing them to. The quality of player on this server is far beyond the average pub out there.

But in order to win, you have to adapt and overcome. If they are playing a smash mouth, ram it down your throat style, then you become stealthy, and mobile. Taking flags and holding them is not the exclusive perrogative of the high rank guys. Everyone does it, it's just sometimes I find players trying to beat someone at their own game; a game they've been refining for, as you say, 2000 hours.

A 'stacked team' gives the other side a chance to learn, through trial by fire, what works, what doesn't, and most importantly how to coordinate efforts. I've seen countless times where the 'stacked team' gets beat by the lower ranking guys. All the time.

But it takes a good commander, good squad leaders, and a team of guys willing to screw stats and make those generals pay. It can happen... often, and on TTP, we've established the environment in which it does.

Chin up... without those beatings, you'd be just another Sgt., on another pub. But here, you're a lot more.

if that's not stacked i don't know what is. they got all 4 choppers cause they capped refinery and woodyard and are just air raping the shit out of our team. spawn, dead, spawn, dead. same thing last round. my team had two full squads and the rest were either one man squads or no squad at all. sorry, but experience makes all the difference. put a professional football team up against a bunch of guys who just learned what a football was and you get the same result. total slaughter everytime. period.
