Basically.
I was playing on the Crane level the other day. We were in the room that exits to the crane. Smoker was up, outside. Tank spawns. I had two teammates hanging out right in front of the window waiting to try and shoot the tank. Oh well, I guess this is the kind of story you dont even need to finish. I RQ'd shortly after.
I dont have this problem with people on my friends list, as they are smart enough to not need instructions.

Its not about being smart enough or needing instructions.
The way i look at it. The smarter the team your playing against the more team leadership becomes important. Ya sure, when playing against poor teams your barely need any leadership. But against a good team. Someone needs to captain the ship or there will be problems.
Great players all have their own ways of wanting to do thing. And good leadership skills just keeps the team on the same page.
I don't really like leading. Although there will be some times where i choose to give out a few orders here and there, i'd rather have someone else call the shots.
I only ask two things from anyone who wants to lead. Watch my back, and listen to me when i say something.
Alot of people confuse being a leader with being a boss.
Boss's bark orders because they love being in control. A leader gives orders to keep the team safe, together and on the same page.!!!WiCkEd VOooOdooooO TerRrroRR!!!

Well seeing as how I'm not a clanny yet, I play with randoms usually. So if I get good groyp that knows how to take suggestions and give better then, I don't mind the leader role. However if someone is better than me, as is usually the case when I play with friends, then I defer, though I still throw the occasional suggestion and communication. Especially the *oh god this f'ing hunter/smoker off me*
