Scott dont know why I missed this post when you first made it....my heart goes out to you and your family. Having to deal with some of the same issues in my family I know what you are going through.

Well friends, it was a short but hard fought battle. Tuesday morning, shortly before 1 AM, my Father passed on. My mother, Brother and myself were able to make it to the hospital and be at his side when he passed. I cant say enough how much your comments and expressions of support have meant to my family, I even shared them with my mother. Knowing there were people that she's never met, hundreds if not thousands of miles away, praying for her husband and family gave her some much needed comfort. I would like to share with you the Obituary from todays paper. Its just a little info about the man the who is responsible for (or at least the laying of the foundation), the guy you all know as SpecOpsScott!

The services are on Friday, and the Cemetery is adjacent to what i would call sacred ground, the Saratoga Battlefield. One of my favorite national parks as well as my Fathers. After the services and internment are over, the healing can begin. And soon i will be back here, amongst friends carrying on with life as my father would want. Thanks again, for everything. Its been a tough month to say the least, i think maybe the toughest in my life, and you have all been a part of getting through it, i will forever be in you debt. TexasTeamPlayers is the best damn thing anyone can be a part of, i mean that from the bottom of my heart.

Scott, I am very sorry for your loss, and for your family's loss. Look to eachother for strength and comfort. You will be eachother's rock to lean on.

take care scott. Self first, family second and friends third. In that order though you may want to put number 2 before number 1, in times like these you have to take care of yourself before you take care of others.

good example, on a plane when the air masks come down.

Scott losing a friend is hard, losing a family member is worse. I know how it is to lose a parent. It is tough stuff. But as my father would tell me if he were still around. "If there's a fumble, it is what you do with it afterwards that counts."

Some times you get knocked down. But you keep on getting back up and life continues, just like the endless roller coaster.

We're here for you and yours Scott.

I am terribly sorry about the loss of your Dad. I know how that must feel. I am 54 years old and my Dad is still with me and just the idea of losing him makes my heart hurt.

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers

My condolences Scott.

My father has recently been battling lung cancer and it makes me realize how close he and I really were all these years. Always cherish those times and memories; and remember him with joy in your heart. Your family's wellness is in my thoughts and hopes.

Dear Sweet Scott,

What does one say in a time like this? There are no true words that can heal a wound this deep but I will try. I hope that you know that everyone here at TTP (whether close to you or not) will stand by your side. I understand that this is not something that goes away in a month. The mourning process comes in waves. I hope that you know that I personally am here for you 24/7. Sometimes all you need is a friendly voice to share your memories with.
I did not know your father but the man that he raised proves to me that he was an awesome man. My deepest condolences hun. I will pray for you and your family to grow and keep high spirits in your time of need.

You have been missed and we all look forward to your return (when you are ready).

Scott, Brother,

Though we have played but once or twice together on the battlefield, I consider each and every member of TTP my family. What hurts them, hurts me.

I am sorry for yours and your family's loss. I will keep all of you in my prayers. Here are some Bible verses which may give you strength and comfort:
