specialist said he's seen it quite often with college football and he said the surgery to fix it was his bread and butter so I guess I got knee surgery next Thursday. Gonna be on crutches for 5 weeks though :5

When you say fix it... do you mean you will be able to play again? Or is it just to get you up and walking without problems again?

I would be able to play again but I don't think I'm going to. I live in a small town ya know and football (and every other sport) is just waaaaayyyyy out of control. It's all about who your parents are and their sports legacy. It's just a big fuckin popularity contest, So pretty much I say fuck it cuz it ain't worth it.
But I'm gettin the surgery cuz I wanna be able to ski and be active when I'm older

Good Decision. I will also agree its pretty similar here to... The guys with all the money are hot shots and the kids who actually might be able to get through life without a sports team are the ones that get crapped on... Im to a point one of those guys but my sport is automotive and I have almost no money...

Ah I see. I'm glad that the surgery is a solution for you and I wish you the best. I bet your determination and perseverance will be a huge factor!!

Fuck, surgery is in 3 days and my school just had swine flu outbreak. Hopefullly I don't get it cuz then I can't get my surgery

Hell, my wife just had it, my son had it, and now my mother in law has it. So far my daughter and I have managed to avoid it. I'm starting to think we might be immune to it.
