    Re: Lightning Strike

Dude thats some crazy shit! Scariest one I've had was at like 10 at night in November and it's stormy, no rain just wind and lightning. I went out to move my car away from the tree and I'm walking to the car and in front of me a just see a HUGE flash that lights everything up. I ducked and ran like hell to my car. My sister said it was the funniest thing to listen to cause I just started swearing and saying random shit the whole way.

There was a split second where the image appeared to be over exposed, right at the beginning of the strike. In that one frame it does indeed appear to be closer than 100', maybe as close as 10' but I could only see it in slow motion. I played it over and over in slow mo to get an idea where it hit, but lightning is some strange stuff, there could have been a smaller branch that hit near the house that was too close for the camera to accurately catch.
