Re: My first car.
My first car, and still my only car, is a 2008 Honda Civic sedan. I love that car and Honda/Acura so much. I've always thought I would keep this car until it died, until I moved to Colorado. Now I've been thinking of getting a car with AWD/4WD that has good mpg and hopefully a higher ground clearance.

There's just very few "classic" cars I like. Old camaro... Old firebird... C3 vette... non-fastback stangs...

Re: My first car.
So I finaly got my damn licence in the mail today. Called my mom and asked if we could go to a couple parking lots so I could start driving and getting used to the clutch/shifting/driving. Had fun; I stalled it a few times and jerked it around and what not but slowly got a little used to it. The hardest thing was balancing gas+clutch from a dead stop, I would either rev the engine too high or too little. Still not totaly comfortable with it so I didn't feel confident driving on the streets but I'll be back in the parking lots tomorrow and then on to the streets.
The funny thing was I wasn't scared or anxious. The first time I went driving (like 5-6 yrs ago) was with a driving instructor in the middle of winter during a snow storm that had been going on for about a day, we had about one and a half feet of snow on the ground. I was scared fucking shitless, doesn't this guy know I've never driven... WTF? It ended up being a pretty good experience... I'm still here, right. Then when it was finaly time to drive on the highway (about 3 months later) it was a fucking rainstorm, I could barely see 30 ft infront of me and im going 120 god damn Km/h... No wonder I was much more relaxed this time around...

No the hard part will be starting from a stoplight on an incline with a cop right behind you, once you conquer that you're good to go.

Re: My first car.
The incline thing... Is easy if you have an emergency brake you operate with your hand. If it's a foot pedal you are screwed. But otherwise just pull the emergency brake and ease out on the brake as you ease out on the clutch. As long as you don't kill it you will smoothly pull out and everyone will be "how the hell did he do THAT?"
