This is exactly what I used to do on inclines. Once you become Pro, you won't need to use it anymore.

    Re: My first car.

Never really thought about using the E brake. I went driving around the other day with my mom and came upon a hill and a red light with traffic behind me. I was a little nervous but I'm getting more used to the clutch+gas balance and got out on the green with no problem. I've been looking around for hills to practice on, slowly getting to steeper inclines.

    Thanks for the tip though.

    Re: My first car.

Gotta say that after driving around and really getting used to the car I love manual transmission and love the lack of power steering. Not that I've driven many cars (like 5?) but power steering always made the car feel loose, no power steering feels more like raw input or something... just has a nicer feeling.

I'm slowly conquering those uphills starts. Driving in the rain really helps.
