Yeah but the thing is when you do decide to play again you play knowing the situation you're going in to. Once you accept that it might be a noob game the letdown is not bad or frustrating. In fact I get joy out of working with what I consider to be average or below average players and winning. Personally I think if I have atleast one other "good" player to bail me out when I mess up I think u can win every game. I think once you accept the situation it becomes enjoyable and thats why I came back and believe others will eventually. The neat thing is when you do come back youll have to play catch up because the majority of people who play everyday are improving.

This! Imo, if you have a good caller you can have a good chance at winning. Brand new players of course will be a different scenario, but with 3 average players and a caller you can have a lot of fun kicking ass.

For me it's always been about who I enjoy playing with and who I don't. I will ALWAYS prefer losing on a team of cool dudes than winning on a boring team of boring people.

I see a L4D2 match as an hour and a half of hanging out with friends and having fun, while also trying to win the match.

Thing is, I've had way more fun in the past losing on teams with "cool" people like: Blonde, Hoc, Pimp, Saltspring, Bob, Max, Steggy, Andy, rush etc etc.

I got bored of L4d2 real quick, it's the people who kept me going for the last 800 hours of my "career." I showed up because Scrum sent me an invite, not because I felt an urge to play L4d2, but because I felt an urge to hang out with Scrum (Only a little homo).

What has happened lately for me is lobbies filled with people I frankly either don't consider fun to play with, or don't have any respect for as players/people.

People like Golgo and his friends, random pubbers, people with no mics, people who refuse to communicate.

I miss the old crew, I miss getting on and seeing familiar faces, and knowing that win or lose I was gonna have a blast chillin with my team.

So basically, I don't play because my friends don't play anymore, aside from some of the RS guys, and a couple others here and there.

Also work.
