    The Future of Clan Wars

A recent article that wargaming put out says for world of tankers to expect some big changes in clan wars and the global map. According to the article, regional representatives met in Minsk and had some lengthy discussions on it. It would appear some of the major changes will be a more seasonal run of global domination. In other words, the map will be wiped every few months and clans would go back to owning no territories. Another implementaion that is being seriously considered will be lower tier clan wars matches. As some of you know, this was done on the North American server when the new North American part of the global map was introduced. The idea is to make it easier on some clans to be able to gain land on the global map. I think if implemented right, this will be a success for them. Though like most things with wargamming, I am sure they will find a way to break it, haha.

As for the SMART clans aspirations for clan wars, I will gladly give you some insight. Right now we are not a clan wars clan. We have been in the past with moderate success here and there but never gaining land and the gold that follows. Many of the players we have in the clan are more casual. In order to have great success in clan wars we will need a dedicated group of 20-99 players. The more we have, the better chance for success. What do I define as a dedicated player? It is hard to say, but players that play nearly every day, would be willing to make it to practices for clan wars, and of course available for nightly clan matches. In the past we have done clan wars only on weekends. We had a decent turnout on many occassions but rarely did we have a consistent core of 15-20 players show. This in addition to a lack of practice together made our gains very minimal. I like many others would like to play clan wars again. But admittedly, I am not what I classify as a dedicated player anymore and I would only be available sporadically. If we had a clan wars team I would put myself on the reserves to fill in where needed depending on my availability. I want SMART to have a presence in clan wars in the future, but now does not seem like the time. We need to rebuild this clan from the ground up. We need to recruit many of the tpg'ers and like minded players to join us. Tpg has a team first mentallity, a We Are One train of thought. Players that share the same ideas and believe in teamwork will make this clan very strong. A place where others will want to be. I encourage platooning when possible and showing other players what teamwork and skill look like in game. Lets build a strong team, family, and clan. When you see teammates or potential teammates on, get them on teamspeak. Team up with them. Get to know them. And have fun.
We will be better for it when the oppurtunity to start doing clan wars arises again.

Me and Gato need some more people to platoon with. With 3 people, you can clean up quite nicely.

NO ONE in a pub match gives a shit about tactics other than " Take the Hill!!" in whatever map we are playing. Nevermind the 5 vs 1 and no one has the balls to push up and kill the one person. Ah hell, I better not get started.

You are experiencing what we all are. We come from a very team oriented approach to games whereas many playing world of tanks dont know what that is about. We have to educate them. We need to start keeping an eye out for players that show potential as a teamplayer and invite them to platoon. Invite them in teamspeak. And if we like them...invite them in the clan.
