FIRE!!!
As some of you may know that California has hundreds of fires buring right now. Well, several of them are in my county. It has made it all the way to CNN!!!
I spend about 1/4 to 1/2 of my day going to and from the staging point for the fires. I am so tired by the time I get home I just drop dead. For those of you who need to know or want to know why I have not been on the fourm much or been playing the game it is because my family is getting ready to evacuate their home.
This is the 2nd time with in a month they had been asked to get ready to leave.
Please send you preyers, luck, wishes, of what every you do my way. We can use it.

Re: FIRE!!!
You only think your getting all the smoke!!!
Our county has cancelled ALL activities that are outdoors. There are warnings telling everyone that if they are going to be outside at all to wear a mask. which for ONCE people are listening to them. With my outings to and from the staging point, most of the people I saw were wearing masks. If I had one..I would have wore it.
This morning, It is was really bad. I was having a hard time breathing.
It is snowing ash. My car is full of ash becuase it is too hot to leave the windows up. It is in the triple digits here.

Re: FIRE!!!
its only a little bar-b-que, when we clear 100,000 acres I'll say we really have a fire. Its actually going to hit that before this is all over. By morning we'll have hit 55,000 acres (about 95 square miles)just in Butte County. That plus the 25k or so we lost a month ago. We saw the last of the fire crews head home and 2 weeks later they are back. We have crews, smokejumpers and engines in the northstate from as far away as Minnesota and Tennessee that we have heard of.

good link to the fires in CA. So far the current state wide tally is over 688,000 acres, to give you an idea that is a burn are bigger than Rhode Island, or for those of you in Texas, its a burn area the size of Clay County.
We are doing a lot of praying for the firefighters as its been over 110 during the day and only in the 80s at night.

Re: FIRE!!!
girls...hang in there...and take care of yourself. I have never experienced fires here in Texas....except the 105 degree August heat. We have tropical storms and hurricanes to worry about. At the end of the day the only thing that matters is protecting family and friends.
I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was!
