    Hurricane IKE

Well folks I survived the hurricane and for y'alls information there is no way a hurricane should have a man's name. When you see the destruction this thing caused...well only a woman could do this.

Seriously....my family did great. All my relatives did great. Some minor damage but compared to what others are going through, I have nothing to complain about.

We lost electricity at 12 AM Saturday and are still currently with out power. We have plenty of supplies to keep us going until Houston is back to normal. I have a generator for my freezers and for misc stuff.

Dusty I really appreciate you calling to check on me....lets me know we are not just nicks that come and go.

I don't know when I will be back on line...they are telling us it could be 2 days to 2 months.

So folks I will see you when I can. I am pretty busy at work but I will try and keep up with the forum.

    Y'all take care.

I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was!

Blue what area you stay in?
I am at 290 and Beltway 8. We lost power for 9 days. I stayed up at work in my office and was able to keep my 10month old in A/C.
    Did you have any damages?

hey dark.....I live in Humble right next to Kingwood. This area was hit hard because of all the trees. I was without power for 9 days as well although I did have a generator to help with fans and refrigerater/freezer stuff. Amazing how much a 5.5 KW generator can run.

The facility where I work is out by beltway 8 and 59 south and it was hit very hard. We are currently doing mold remediation and that is a bitch to say the least. We will dealing with this for months to come.

I'm not as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was!
