Wanna get repair points......get in a tank, especially on non jet maps. Repair the APC or tank ruinnin with you...repair UAV and scanner....artillery all from the tank. Then the bonus is you can repair your own tank when it gets attacked. :9

I should be a 3 star general.....I just cant make myself run around with a dang pistol trying to get kills to get that badge.....nor can I make myself run around with a freaken knife trying to get kills to get the vetern badge either. There is an old saying...."You don't bring a knife to a gun fight!" Although I have been knifed from time to time....BF2 usually consist of gun fights.

All you gotta do is go to a pistol and knife server and play about two hours or less and ya got em simple as that

I was going to do that a long time ago, then i was told that EA didn't recognize those servers and that I could lose all the points and ranks that I had earned legitimately. So I never tried them out.

Bullshit if it's a ranked server it counts,that's all I needed as you for a long time so I went and did it and poof 3 stars :9

Go read EA's ROE and you will see how absolutely wrong you are. Any form of stat padding server does violate the rules, just like servers that limit or restrict use of certain assets to certain players. Basically once you set up your server anything that appears/spawns on the map is fair game. If I have a rifle, and you tell me not to use it on your ranked box you are in violation. Not saying the rules are enforced as much as some of us would like, but that does not make it any less true.

I can't honestly see how they'd discriminate. Pistol & Knife games are very common in online FPS'es, and it doesn't violate the rules (especially if it's self-enforced).

Unranked I believe you can do whatever you choose, but not positive.q
