I like the Alan Parson's Project... didn't realize that they were still touring. They haven't released an album since the 80's. That bassist is pretty good.
Here's a pretty good bassist as well:

Sean Andrews of the band Redemption. He's got some pretty sick videos of various bass solos. What's really cool is he had to translate from 4-string to 6-string bass. Not necessarily hard if you're good, but he makes it look easy.

oh phew! it's only about the bass, I saw the title and was like "uh oh..."
Yeah, he's a good bass player. and wilE, that guy you posted is great too. Do you play? that is pretty sweet, haha I'm a real sucker for a sweet bass line. I have only just taught myself without any teachings so I do not consider myself to be all that talented lol, I have 5 years of electric guitar lessons under my belt though so i'm much better in that area than in bass.
I was just watchin this video and thought i'd throw it up. Ever heard of Mute Math? Their bass player is great though their songs don't really show off his talent as much as i would've liked but oh well. One of these days i'll aquisition me a fretless bass ...

Re: Salty..........
Ohhh WileECyte you are missing out! offcourse they released new albums as a matter of fact
Alan dropped the "Project" identity for Alan Parsons - Try Anything Once in 1994. On Air in 1996 and The Time Machine in 1999.
More recently, Alan's music has taken a new contemporary direction into the world of Electronica. His latest album, A Valid Path, features a number of notables in the genre including The Crystal Method, Shpongle, and Uberzone. The album also features a guest appearance by Pink Floyd guitarist, David Gilmour

And for those of you who dont know him .......
One of his first jobs was at an EMI tape duplication facility in West London. At this time he was fortunate enough to experience the master tape of the Beatles Sgt. Pepper album and that boosted his determination to become a recording engineer.
After the experience of The Beatles Alan worked on a number of hits with The Hollies including He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother and The Air That I Breathe. However, his reputation was totally solidified with his engineering work on Pink Floyd's legendary Dark Side Of The Moon, which earned him the first of many Grammy nominations. :9
