    I hate electrical problems.

Got this pos pt cruiser all back together and go to start it and get nothing but fing problems. The turns signals work in the back but not the front. Car would start run for 2 seconds and die but thats has now changed to wont even crank. You hit the flashers the back works front doesnt and all the gauges work like they are bouncing to music. Scanner cant read the car to give me an idea where to start.

So i start from scratch. The starter issue is spiffy. Whatever short is making the lights go crazy also told the computer the car was being stolen. So now it auto shutdown mode. I get to tow it to a dealer to get that one fixed because im not buying a 5000 dollar scanner just for this pos.

The short has to be a ground wire problem with that is which fucking one. Its not like this pos was meant to have people climbing around behind the dash so i get to pull the fucking think apart again just to find a bad ground. My first thought is smacking the shit out my dad for telling his buddy i can do this kind of work. I quit working on cars for a reason and should have stuck to my guns on it.

Word to the wise for all you who actually bought a pt cruiser get rid of it. It's a pos. At least its raining out now and i dont work on cars in the rain so im on break. Mopar blows.

haha! understood! I think you are on the right track looking for a ground, that was my immediate thought as well. Check the negative battery cable, sometimes where the accessories are tied in the wire corrodes from the inside. Had something similar except it was actually on the positive side.

LOL funny you said that about being told you could do that kind of work.

The first thing my CS professor said this semester was this:

"And what's the first rule of Computer Science?"

    "COMPUTER SCIENTISTS DON'T FIX COMPUTERS!"

Finally that pos is outta here. It had 4 bad grounds and the turn signal turned out to my mistake. If every connector on the car is different and only goes together one way why would you make 1 that can fit on in 2 ways? I took that damn thing off at least a dozen times and put it back on the same damn way every single time until this afternoon. For some reason it just didnt look right to me so i flipped it over and everything went back to normal. Fuck mopar piece of shit. Of course that excludes the old cudas.
