Thread: I will be in and out.

I will be starting to build my house beginning next week. The excavator is going to begin digging monday or tuesday and after he is out of the way, I will be putting up the forms for pouring concrete and all the stuff that goes with it.

So over the next month or two I will be in and out for a while. If it rains or I am waiting on something, I will be here, otherwise I will be busy as hell.

I am just building the basement, the garage and the porches and that will be plenty enough.

My wife and I went and talked to a builder that builds them in his warehouse in pieces. All the walls will have drywall and windows, the floor will come in sections and the roof he said will be put on all in one day. He brings them out by trailer truck and crane and assembles it on site. I guess you could call it a pre-fab house, although more pieces than just a couple. The builder said from start to finish of assembly would be about 4 weeks. Heck, as many as he does a year, he can build it just as cheap as I can, so we went that direction instead of me spending 6 months or more on this.

I will definitely take pictures.

Dirty, dirty minds.

I will now be delayed for 2 more weeks. The contractor buddy of mine is backed up because of all the rain we have been getting. He is going to help me set the concrete forms up and lay out the basement lines.
