    Monday night 2142

We had a few good rounds going last night rocking the Victrix squad, but man, Maestrale was really serving it up. I'm glad I was on his team. On Wake, we two manned it all the way around the island, capping flags and bashing heads. We ran into Trail and Pale a couple of times during our island tour...poor guys were on the losing end of the barrel when Maestrale barged through.

(cheater bubble, watch out yourdaddy1, I'm sure he was using some kind of cheats, he was too fast, accurate and never overloaded with his ganz.)

Yeah, I remember the first round where I did something about 36 points before dying, we were going everywhere, killing everyone, it was kind of easy..., but an APC just cut our fun...sight...

Yeah I saw that guy too. He got me running and gunning with his ganz a couple times. Had me scratching my head, but I only ran into him those two times I think.

The APC cut us short on the 2nd round. The first round we didn't get stopped until we went back to the Core.

Yeah, and look at that commander score on trailhunters win. There was some great games the last couple of nights. sunday night I was rockin the primary medic weapons and the lambert was kickin ass too.

I noticed though that my teamwork points go to hell in a hand basket quick, if I am recon. 20 kills with lambert and apm's but maybe 2 or 3 teamwork points. Bahhhh, Bugged me enough that I went back to assault class.

I have been trying to find that happy medium between the classes. I don't want to just be an assault guy anymore. There is times and places for the other roles, I just need to find a comfort zone and learn when to switch up kits. I have been running as supply master quite a bit when squad leading. The drone and the sonar have been cool to play with, and my squads seem to do better when I run them.

I've found that for me, on most maps, I do best as a squad lead as either assault or support. I'm pretty dedicated to bringing my guys back to life if I'm assault, and as support, you can put down the sonar and the recon drone. Give your guys a huge heads up on where enemy positions are.

I've also found, for me, at least, that the Recon with Lambert and APMs and RDX works much better as a close in defense. The fast rate of fire and the explosives are great for defending a point, at least, in my opinion. Though, it only seems to shine when its a point practically over run, and you're having to constantly be moving and defending to keep them at bay.

Depending on the flow of battle, I am always switching between kits depending on what I hear on the chatter. If my squad leader calls out for a specific combination, that's what I do even if I don't fully agree. Of course, once I determine my squad lead is too inexperienced, I choose my own kit.

Assault works as long as you have one support in the squad, since you run out of ammo so fast. Before I spawn in, I check what my squad mates have. If we're attacking, and the majority of the squad are attackers (Recon and Assault), I switch to support. The infantry sonar is an absolute necessity.

Recon only earns few teamwork points unlike Assault and Support, but for pure damage, Recon is the best. My favorite tactic is to kill one person, and lay RDX next to them. Soon as I hear them revived, boom. 1 kill becomes 3 kills (1 + 2). Add some more RDX, and 3 kills suddenly become 7 (1 + 2 + 4). Throw a grenade to suppress the hostiles, drop another RDX, and hopefully 7 kills become 15 (1 + 2 + 4 + 8). At 15, I'm usually sure I destroyed an entire squad of assaults and I go hide in the back waiting to implement my tactic again. If 1 kill suddenly becomes 5 kills, I usually leave the area quickly since that usually means there are two squads of hostiles.

I find that as long as you know how to sneak around heavily fought battles in conquest, you can easily attack whole groups of players from behind. Of course you need a commander to have a UAV up to assess how the battle is going. You need a diversionary squad that is providing a battle up front in order to sneak behind to attack.

One of the problems many newer players on the server have is constantly moving and gunning. They may be too young to have played Doom and learned the Circle of Death. I'm sure the newer players are worried about running out of ammo, but if you don't fire enough, you will die.

I also switch up quite a bit (I know the constant "chatter" from the Zeller might have you thinking otherwise - but I find that there are many occasions where there are other kits more functional than my recon kit) especially while SL'ing.

I was curious if YourDaddy1 was another TTP regular's "additional" character.

I don't believe so since he appears to be more of a lonewolf.
