Fahrenheit 451, most definitely. I've read both, and you'll be able to read Fahrenheit 451 on your first try. A Clockwork Orange was a little more difficult for me, simply because they have their own "language" that's a little tricky to understand.

A Clockwork Orange has been into a movie, which I saw. The movie was good so the book will probably be great!

Well just finished 451, and also read "The Things They Carried" and "Timequake" by Tim O'Brian and Kurt Vonnegut, respectively. Started Clockwork Orange today, god it's hard to read.

    I told you so.

Also, if you read Vonnegut, you better not have passed up "Cat's Cradle"....that book is mmm mmm delicious, and I it should be made into a new movie.

Re: Books not to read at school

the things they carried used to be taught at my high school but is not any longer... i go to a catholic school so censorship abounds...

    good book though.

i remember i was taking a comparative religions class and we were talking about the kama sutra. one kid brought in a copy to class the next day and was astounded when the teacher seized his book and sent him to the dean. the entire class died laughing.
