O I know what's wrong... It's my OS but win7 isn't cheap hence why I'm probably getting a new computer soon hopefully

Have you tried using the system restore to roll your computer back as far as possible? By default it is turned on, and theres even a chance you can roll the OS back to what it was originally when new. System Restore has saved my ass countless times. If not, why not just format your hard drive and reinstall your current OS? Or you could just use the restore disk (if you have a dell or equivalent). If you need any help, I am a software engineer and primarily work with windows boxes, so I might be able to help you out. If you do not need anything off the computer, I strongly suggest just erasing the HD and reinstalling your current OS, even if its XP or Vista.

Hmm Ill try the restore but I really would rather not erase my HD unless its my only option.

Well, what I did for a friend of mine recently was put their old Hard drive into an external enclosure and had them buy a new hard drive all together. That way they had access to EVERYTHING on their old drive, and they were able to start with a clean slate. No loss of work or documents. I am not sure how technical you are, but to pull a hard drive and put it into an external enclosure and install a new hard drive only takes a Phillips head screw driver.

Either way, give the restore a try. You will lose data from anytime after the restore point. So be aware of that. If you are not comfortable restoring or formatting do what I suggested above. If you are only looking at a 500 GB hard drive you should be able to get an external enclosure and a new hard drive for around $60. Below are some links. These links are assuming your current hard drive is SATA. If it isnt, that means your current computer is a bit dated, and buying a new one is not that terrible of an idea, haha.
