Thread: A fresh start?

So, with the ARK server going down last night, will we fire up a new one?

If so, it might be a really good time for some of you guys that got jaded by building up a little home... only to have it crushed while you were off line. See, in the beginning, the ARK server allowed certain folk to upload the tames they completed in single player. So someone could set their settings to super easy, tame a level 50 T-Rex and port it over. So while most of us were still running around in cloth armor, there was a group that had top tier stuff and tamed Apex predators roaming around. Once we leveled the playing field, they left.

Since we will all start out on the same beach, maybe y'all would consider coming back and giving it a shot again?

Server should be back up and running at this time, btw.

So is everyone back to 0?

Not currently. I leave that up to the ark admins and players. I just try to make sure the server stays up and running.

Ok, didn't know if the files were saved, so just checking.

Some of us regulars had kicked around the idea of a wipe and restart. Although i have a ton of hours into leveling my character, taming dinos, building stuff.... im not against it. Mainly because of the imbalance right from the beginning. We'll have to see what the Dodo-opolis guys say, i know they have a ton of time in and the Dinos and base to show for it, but i also know they benefited from the guy that was porting stuff in from his ARK....

We'll see.....
