ALPHA Predetors.... holy shit!

So, i get on my bird and take out a pack of 5 raptors (w/saddles) on a wrecking run today. Never did it before, thought it would be fun. Headed up the beach leveling everything in site until in the distance i saw a raptor with a faint red smokey haze around it. I let it take out a couple of dilos and sent my pack in for the kill.

Well, that's the hard way to figure out what Alphas can do. That fucker ripped up my pack of 5, knocked me off my bird as i tried to pick him up (couldn't do it) and he proceeded to Kill my bird and finally me. And he was only level 12!

TLDR. Don't fuck with Alphas unless you have some SERIOUS firepower with you!

Our group killed an alpha raptor today. The secret is dimorphidons.

We killed two Alpha Raptors... I gained 8 levels. 35->43 if I remember correctly. Best use of two hours if you want to level up.

Our crew has a pet alpha carnosaur... I say pet when I really should say neighbour... We really respect his privacy after he wiped out 3 of our crew without effort....

Its worth the take down in many cases. I went up 2 levels, from 65 to 67 killing a level 44 T-Trex with Cabb and Whiskey. It took 700 arrows and a smithy set up on site to repair our equipment. There are also usually rare items in the inventory of said beast, as well as a boat load of prime meat. Get the camp fires burning or start your next tame nearby to take advantage of it!

If you guys want a hand taking it down, i would be happy to lend some support.
