DX12 this Friday
If you look at the patch notes I listed at the bottom of this, Friday ARK gets DX12. They have been working on it for awhile it seems like.
So, I am curious, and to those that know more than I do... Will SLI be supported in ARK now? Will it have the support for using two different GPUs? Or will they have to code it specifically to do that?

Re: DX12 this Friday
SLI Support is based on the Nvidia drivers library of supported games. Of course you can create your own SLI profile for the game but it will not be "optimized"

Re: DX12 this Friday
Right, SLI/CF is the physical existence of two video cards with a cable link (SLI bridge, crossfire bridge).
I am talking about how the two graphics cards are used in DX11 and earlier (alternate frame rendering?) and in DX12 where you don't need the bridges, you don't even need two similar cards, and all the resources are available to use.
In DX11 if you had two 960 SLI you only had 2gbs of VRAM available despite the cards totaling 4gbs between them.
Edit:
also, I understand what DirectX and OpenGL are... I used to use them on a regular basis 8 years ago. I am just not at all up on the latest features, SLI/CF, how those multi card configurations actually work and what all this talk about DX12 means for users with multi card configurations.
I am curious because ARK is supposed to be the second game ever to release with DX12 support.
