Server Wipe October 5th (Vote on options)

Perhaps it's too late to add this. But I don't think a regular wipe occurrence is going to motivate. I don't like the idea. I'll tolerate 90 days if everyone wants to do it. But I really do not feel a wipe every 90 days is necessary. I think the game changes once you've accomplished a lot of goals, more war, more helping other tribes.

Vis and I tested out another populated server. It's a great experience with lots of players. There is still PvP chat going on, but a lot of low level tribes scraping by asking for egg trades or saddle trades (things they can't make) it's a whole different dynamic to the game I didn't even think about. There are a lot of low level tribes nobody messes with (cuz what's the point?) and they're happy just to exist and plug away at levels. They established high level tribes that own zones war with each other and gain temporary alliances with lower level tribes. It's fun.

If they were to wipe every 90 days, I doubt people would stay. There is already changing zones and maps of who owns what every month anyway...

That's my opinion on the 'every 90 days wipe' - I really hope we don't do it.

As for the wipe/fresh start, I hope it happens ASAP. I would like to get to building

I will also help with forums and such to advertise. Please tell me the exact date and time the server will wipe so we can advertise it.

Would you all rather we wipe tonight and attempt to start immediate advertising? We could also all log on tonight and maybe throughout the day tomorrow in order to increase numbers and promote this.

I talked to a few people already about this and everyone wants to play on the wiped box instead of the pending wiped box. I have since wiped the server, and have an active backup.

THE MAJOR ISSUE... We can no-longer do just a base/structurewipe without killing the character profiles. If we keep the character profiles it gives an infinite respawn timer and won't let you do this. It appears to have worked in earlier versions, but no longer. So what I have to do here is manually give you experience via the admin console. I have no problem doing that, but you need to tell me your level and you'll have to be in game with me. The good news is that you can redo your engrams.

Either way. I'll be on tonight along with about 7-8 or so others. Please hop on, get the player base up, and spread the word.
