Thread: Need assistance with server coding for wasteland

Someone directed me to here last night on one of the TPG servers and said there are some experienced people in setting up servers who are able to give me a little assistance in getting mine going.

Basically I ordered a third party host and attempted to setup a GoT wasteland, uploading a non edited pbo worked fine but obviously I needed to make changes to personalize it to my server. Anytime I made changes to any of the files within the pbo with notepad++ once I repacked the pbo and uploaded it the server would not connect when I would attempt to play.

I also have no idea how to change time of day with admin/rcon commands.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I also would am interested in joining the TPG community.

You cannot just make changes via notepad++

.pbo files need to be unpacked and packed with a tool called PBOViewer. Think of a .pbo as a zip or rar file. So, to edit a pbo, you need to unpack it with PBOViewer, make your changes, and then repack it with PBOViewer.
