Software Technical - Question about ARMA 3 and two monitors [solved!]
So I'm curious... does anybody else's second monitor go black while they're playing ARMA ? Worse, does this happen to anybody else only sometimes? I'd love to be able to see my TS window/browser/whatever consistently on my other screen while playing. Something to do with alt-tabbing and re-entering a certain way?
Wasn't sure if I should post this elsewhere or here since it is ARMA 3 specific. ARMA 2/DayZ never had this problem as I recall.
Any help appreciated.Last edited by GreenGod; 07-21-13 at 07:50 PM.

Re: Software Technical - Question about ARMA 3 and two monitors
My monitor setup does the exact same thing, so I am watching this thread close. Scion brings up a good point, my primary monitor is capable, and runs at, a higher resolution than my secondary is.

I have 3 monitors, 2x 19" and a 22", One on DVI, a DP(display port) to VGA, and an HDMI to DVI.
I play on the 22, at MAX resolution. Have TS3 on the right Screen and Rcon/IRC on the left, (depending on what game/server)
I have 6670 Ati, with no Blank screens. I Don't Eyefinity cause it's dumb. My start bar is on the Main Screen, with right and left as extra desktop.

Re: Software Technical - Question about ARMA 3 and two monitors
And ten points goes to... Viven! Turning off the windows 'Aero' crap means I can now enjoy my second screen while playing ARMA 3.
Runner up to Merritt for the Windowed mode suggestion. You were technically first, but I think turning off Microsoft's crap takes the cake this time around. Any idea if windowed mode uses more/less resources than full screen? I've wondered that before about other games.
For anybody interested, I have a 6950 with a DVI and DVI-HDMI cable.Last edited by GreenGod; 07-20-13 at 12:53 AM.
