Thread: Unable to start helicopters anymore.

This may just be the game telling me I am a terrible pilot and shouldn't touch the helis anymore but I have been having some issues lately.

I am unable to get a helicopter started. I hop in and then tap Q. The helicopter never fires up. Try just holding it and nothing. The first one showed as good on all parts but I thought it might be a mistake. Next one had orange on a few pieces but again didn't start up.

On the final one it was slowly sliding down a hill. So I towed it, to flat ground. Hopped in and couldn't get it to start. Checked my key binds it looked fine. Tried again and got nothing. Rebound the key away and put it back to Q. Still nothing. I have tried being co-pilot and taking controls... nothing.

The kicker when I thought I was just having bad luck was someone else ran up and took the copter with no trouble. Anyone seen this or know what I should try?

It has been happening for the last few days. 2 nights ago the chopper was outside of the Opfor base. I couldn't get it to take off so i mined pilot and copilot doors. walked Surgeon through getting in and he took off fine.

Last night (more like 12am today) I found a hummingbird in great shape it was the one sliding. I put on flat ground and couldn't get it to take off. So I left it for the team. (Somebody on our team decided to blow it up because he saw "an enemy" when the rest of the team didn't. Even after it blew up he kept shooting saying the enemy was still in it).

The last was as soon as we completed a mission. I tried to take it and couldn't. It just never starts up for anymore when it previously worked. I seem to be the only one experiencing it. As Saint and Surgeon were able to fly all the ones we took/repaired.

As soon as I realized it was just me and not an issue with the helicopter, I checked and it looked fine. I bound it to another key and then bound it straight back to Q. I probably should have tried the other key and seen if it worked but I just simply bound and rebound it right back. Still didn't work for me.

@Viven - I will verify my steam files when I get off work
@Nuckle - Q is working, forgot to mention that. I can still lean, I tested that as the keyboard is old.
@Viven - No joystick. I have a Wireless Receiver for Xbox 360 controller hooked up but it has been since before Arma 3 and not used. Might disconnect it.
@UnluckyCharms - My bind still showed it as Q and I know I hit most of the normal keys for any type of control of the helicopter but don't specifically remeber if I tested X.
