    I haven't known you as long as some here but I've been impressed by your hard work on wasteland immensely. It sounds like an exciting project and I look forward to 270km^2 of wastelandy goodness on Altis! Thanks for helping the ARMA 3 servers and community to what they are. Good luck!

    Have you been able to get to the Stratis TPG Wasteland adaptations wrt the Full Release? Can't wait for Team Wasteland Altis, but running Stratis on TPG would be great. If possible.

    Hi everyone,

    Just wanted to post an update; there has been some delays and we apologize for that. We simply weren't satisfied with the state of the mission on release day, so we have decided to work some more on it before we do a v0.9 pre-release.

    I'm sure many of you are aware of the performance issues on Altis. I can't fix the game's threading problems; however, I did find that the lag mostly comes from large numbers of vehicles, so we have decided to reduce the number of vehicle spawns a bit, but as the island is very large, we still need to have many.

    After some intense thinking, I managed to come up with a fix that increases the FPS by at least 30%, by getting the game to stop computing immobile vehicles that are further than 2 km from the player. I'm not sure why the game doesn't do this by default, but the mission is now playable at about the same performance as Wasteland Stratis. It may cause minor network syncing bugs with vehicles, but so far it works great. I haven't tested it with high player numbers, but I'm pretty sure the performance increase will still be noticeable.

    The biggest feature being worked on is territory capture by KoS; I don't know if it will be ready for the pre-release, but the goal is to get it in by the full v1.0 release. They are also working on a bounty system, money-oriented missions, and reworking the whole UI.

    Right now I'm pretty busy with college, so I won't be able to work on it again until next week, but the rest of the team is making the last touches for the pre-release, which hopefully could be ready later this week.

    Nice job Rev. I've been hoping that whatever new video card profiles come out would help the FPS, but it sounds like BIS needs to address their threading concerns first. Thankfully I'm patient. Love the scope of Altis enough to wait to see it good.
