Re: The future of Wasteland
It happens to me about every 15 minutes. I notice it a lot more when there is an explosion nearby (if you know me I love rocketing things). My last 2 crashes was when I was nearby a vehicle that got rocketed. The time I didn't crash was when I was at the Spartan. Someone shot down a Heli up north and 75% of the server got booted. But I stayed.
I never miss. I simply fire warning shots.

Re: The future of Wasteland
I played for a while last night, I encountered two people near the gun store spawn (don't remember what city), then I did not see anyone for the rest of my time on there. I didn't have any performance issues which is awesome.
What is the strategy (if there is one) to bring players together on a map this size?
I was thinking of a mission that draws people into the same general area so they may come into contact fighting over the same resources
Perhaps declaring areas of operation on a given night, or maybe people spawn in the same general area.
There has to be something that draws folks to the same area if the player count is to stay under 100.
Any other inputs to this subject?Everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon

Re: The future of Wasteland
Its great we have an Altis wasteland server up and running. I really appreciate the hard work that I'm sure is being put into it. But, It just doesn't taste like mom's lasagna used to. Guess I was just so used to the look and feel on our Stratis servers.
The game is running great for me though. avg 40-60 fps and around 30-40 in urban areas. Thanks for the hard work getting this up and running. Now we need to get our following back to where it was with the Stratis servers.
