CS and CSS were all 1st person only. I assume CSGO is the same. The big difference is though that CS had tiny maps. Stratis dwarfs it and the new Altis map is something like 14x the size of Stratis. (Altis also puts worlds like GTA, Skyrim and such to shame).

So being limited to 1st person limits your field of view not to mention, you don't have a quick way to check sides. And in this game there are a ton of weapons that will put you down in one shot. Which may force you to respawn clear across the island and you always start with only a pistol. You have to scavenge a rifle.

Arma is great but if they wanted 1st person to work, they would need to adjust field vision especially in vehicles.
