ARMA3 release
I am pulling it down from Steam now ! Hoping to start the thread where folks acknowledge they have it running and annotate their observations of it.
Have to go to work before I can play it, so there will be a gap.Everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon

Re: ARMA3 release
Only slightly. I am not pleased with only one fixed wing asset but I know they will rectify that soon. I don't like the staged DLC campaign nonsense, even if it is free. But I know that Arma2 has so much content because it had an expansion and 3 DLC content behind it. This is just the first iteration of Arma3, and more content will be forthcoming.

Re: ARMA3 release
Well tbh i don't see the big changes between the Beta and The Gold release.
I fail to see how:
5 Showcases
3 new vehicle types (AAA, MBT, Artillery)
and 4 mounted weapons equal full release.
Where are fixes to the known issues from the dev build? where are the new weapons, vehicles and scenarios. Fair enough the campaign had to be drastically changed and therefore pushed back, but why are core mechanics and assets missing from the game?
Thus far, the only difference between the beta/development builds of the game are:
Main battle tanks
Mobile artillery platforms
Mobile anti-aircraft platforms
Mounted launchers
2 Lavs
5 new showcases
An a one single jet.Bohemia have come out and said 2 more jets will~ are coming, as well as the first part of the campaign being released in the coming month or two, and the next chapter coming out 3 months from now(but why have they released the game now then??).
I really cannot recommend this game to you or anyone else for that matter ,until it's finished.
Maybe early 2014?
-Edit-
But this is just MY opinion,as i don't want to step on anyone's toes!Last edited by Kill8ox; 09-12-13 at 10:35 AM.
