Thread: What is... Arma3 patrol

So I played for 40mins yesterday. Flew a jet, bailed a chopper into an enemy base, survived, mowed down 15 soldiers single handedly before getting killed by a tank. I have no idea what the end game is. Explain me please.

Complete the random objects. The mission does end after they are completed. Atleast from the little I have played.

i logged on to the tpg server its a barren wasterland i tried following the objective marker you never seem to reach it you cant fly nothing unless an admin gives you permission the wheels fall off the vehicles walk and walk after that i still never reach the fuckin objective

Target if you are a squad leader you can give yourself permission to fly...................which will end horribly until you watch some tutorials on how to fly in ARMA

There is also a flag at base that lets you paradrop anywhere on the map....just remember to open your chute(it will also open automatically at 150) and reduce airspeed before landing(press "S" aka the move back button).

Yeah, theres a learning curve. Its a little more complicated than "ASDW left-Mouse".

Its not a game that one or two people can join and have fun, its meant to be a combined ops game with full squads of infantry, armor and air support.

Keep joining, squad up and ASK QUESTIONS. Unlike Day Z where going solo is one of the best ways to learn the feel and mechanics of the game, this one is best learned in a squad with a good leader.

Unfortunately.... TS went down and for some reason you couldn't hear me explain the mission to you while you were on. That was one of the tougher missions it takes a few spotters and lots of AT along with the Arty at the base to complete. Talkos, DaveGen, Howie and myself were actually able to complete it with combined ops later last night.
