Considering i have had a few thousand krypto in the bank 2 or 3 times and to go back after dying 3 times or so my bank just goes to -1370 a lot when i known i haven't died 30 times in a row. An idea that LAYGO said other night was if you leave this as it is can we gain interest in our banks the longer we are alive to counter-act the loss from dying? I have stopped using banks because its too harsh ans have reverted to storing items in other places to keep money aside.

Just curious..... If you are piloting a chopper, and it goes down the messages usually say the pilot was killed, then the deaths of the passengers shown with the pilot as the killer. Assuming that the players were all in the same group, is the pilot getting hit with an additional penalty per group member killed?

I vote to abolish the death tax.
The only people who this will affect are those who don't have the money. At a point it becomes a minor inconvenience to the new players, but how long does it take to get to that point, and is this really a feature we're wanting on a new server that's trying to gain population?Last edited by Warprosper; 01-02-15 at 01:13 PM.

what we should do is check with other people who are running epoch servers and see what they have as their punishment and adjust accordingly

Voted to get rid of the tax entirely. It maybe easier for well geared out players that have established bases or hording spots to pay the small amount each time they die, but for players that run solo and don't have a group with a base or place to store things. It only penalizes us further.
Its hard enough as it is to stay alive long enough with all the necessary materials for the base. If I die, I lose enough already. Missions are also harder now, with the AI being much more of a challenge. Add to the equation a massive group of 6-15 players that ALWAYS show up at missions making it nearly impossible for 1-3 man groups to make any kind of bankroll. Thus, removing a "feature" of the mod to begin with. There is no currency system for me, everything I have, I keep on my body. I haven't made a deposit in 2 days and wont unless the Death Tax is completely abolished.
Further yet, if the Death Tax is not removed entirely, and people continue to attack / kill me while I'm minding my own business building my base and looting for it, I will make it my personal mission to kill as many / all the traders I can per server cycle. Have fun not being able to buy or sell anything, and feel my pain.

Personally I don't think dinging people with a death tax is a great idea - like Texan said - you lose all your shit you spent hours collecting, that's punishment enough.
