Thread: A3 Launcher detects wrong MAS version

All, we are aware of an issue with the A3 Launcher thinking that our server is running version 1.4 of AMAS when we are in fact running version 1.5. Below is a link to a post I made on the EPOCHMod forums in hopes that someone has a suggestion/ solution.

Until this is resolved I recommend using the Bohemia Interactive (Arma 3 Launcher) that can be launched by going into Steam> Libraries and right clicking on ARMA 3 in your games list. This lets you load your mods, set your launch parameters, and place a shortcut on your desktop. Using this works great.

"We have tried several things to try to clear whatever may be referencing the old MAS14 version such as- deleting the @MAS directories on the server and recreating
- redownloading the @MAS15 add on and placing in the new @MAS15 folder.
- Change the Displayed Server Name so it does not reference a MAS version
- Deleted and replaced all BIKEY files in the server key directory.

I also sent a few emails to the A3 Launcher folks and they suggested making sure that the proper mod.cpp file wa in the @MAS15 folder, which it was, and to repalce with one they provided. This unfortuantly did not resolve the issue.

So I was hoping that someone here may have come across this issue before and figured out how to resolve?"

So I got a couple of responses on the Emod forums and according to M3Editor2 our server shows as running @MAS1.5 and he successfully joined our server via A3L. Can someone please try this and keep in mind that if already downloaded MAS 1.4 via A3L it will work. So a good test is to only have @MAS15 in the root of your Arma 3 directory. If you have an @MAS directory you can just rename it to @MAS _old.

I will try this when I get home but am anxious to see if this has been resolved!

@M3Editor2 - Do you have just the @mas15 folder in your Arma 3 directory or is @mas (v 1.4) there as well?

"The launcher as both versions, @mas is version 1.4 and @mas15 is 1.5. I check the database and your server is being picked up as running 1.5 (i made a3launcher)"

ditto, to what scott said. If you run into a town emptry handed and come out the other side without a loaded weapon and gear there is something wrong.
