    Missions, Updates, and Other Going Ons

    This past week has brought a fair amount of new stuff to the TPG server, some bad and a lot good. I did not see another post that summarizes all of this so I am posting this up so that everyone can get a single read understanding of what may have changed. For those that don't want to read a wall of text here is the scoop:

    Arma updated on the 21st which caused EpochServer Mod to update which then forced InfiStar to update and as part of the Epoch Server Side update they decided to make AiA Terrain Pack version 1.4.1 a requirment. So anyone still using the older versions will be required to update their client but to be honest, there is a noticeable difference in this update fo the Chernarus map. As for missions, we used the updated platform to test out the issues were were seeing with the locked car and crate disappearing issue. Long story short, the issues were no longer so we decided to try the new VEMF mission set alongside the missions we were running and they work well side by side. So now you have two mission sets running in parallel to one another, one is the Black Eagle mission that is random throughout the map (fields/forests/etc) and the other being VEMF which is town based MOUT (Military Operations in Urban Terrain). Both missions spawn stuff and all stuff should be accessible.

    We also modified the dynamic loot list about a week plus ago so that the MAS weapons should no longer be spawning in with attachments. So if you want a m249 para with a scope you will have to go find a scope (we have those in the loot list

    So we updated to the latest Epoch Server side code, Latest AiA pack (1.4.1), adjusted the loot list, cleaned up the technicals, and a few other adjustments that are minor to those listed above. Now we have a server wipe occuring this evening to set the above.

    We tried the new city missions. Fun as Hell. Especially if other groups show up. Blonde and Source crashed our party, and it made for a pretty intense 3-way battle between groups and the AI.

    The Black Eagle missions are the ones marked by the colored mesh circles on the map. The city ones give you a text message if you have a Quartz Radio (it pops-up as big as a banner, so they are tough to miss), and unlike the Black Eagle missions, they are mobile. If not engaged by a certain amount of time, the city missions will move to a different city. Clear the evil-doers, and a box of loot will show-up in the town square.
